Obligatory Headshot
I’m not terribly interesting, but here’s a bit about me…
I started out shooting and hunting as a kid, joined the U.S. Army at age 17, and went on a couple of deployments. After a very clumsy, very long fall off a cliff in eastern Afghanistan, I came home and started working. Along the way, I read a lot of books, fell in love, and developed a sense of humor that has kept me going through the ups and downs that life throws at us.
I’ve been working in product development since 2015 within the firearms industry. In my most recent position at Magpul, I was responsible not only for all phases of product development and deployment, but also for relevant marketing and public relations, customer service, business analysis, and more. Along the way, I’ve learned how the moving parts interact, what makes them stick, and how to stay lean and efficient. Throughout my career, I have implemented Lean principles, adapting Agile concepts to enable timely project completion under budget and with fewer headaches all around. I beat deadlines without losing my sanity over them, and I enjoy being challenged and intellectually stimulated.
I focus on managing the product, not the people, and this has been key to my success. Empowering team members allows projects to thrive despite challenges along the way.
